Why Tim Taylor Gutters?
Tim Taylor Gutters has been 27 years in the making. Originally from the Chicago Suburbs, I cut my teeth hanging over 2 million lineal feet of gutters & downspouts, and thousands of lineal feet of Soffit & Fascia throughout the Tri-State area. My wife of 23 years and I, along with our son Tyler, moved to Florida in the Spring of 2012. I originally started with a local company installing Soffit & Fascia on new construction homes for the first year. My other passion as a carpenter is interior trim work, so I opted to get out of soffit work, and move to interior finishes. After a couple of years on my own doing interior carpentry work, I was offered an opportunity to hang up the tool belt and sell Soffit/Fascia/Gutters & Roofing for a local company. After 4 plus years of selling for that company, it was time to move on. I then spent the next two years selling Gutters/Soffit & Fascia for a different local company. It was only after not feeling satisfied with other companies’ business goals, that it was time for me to answer my true calling. Gutters are my destiny. When I write Gutter Life in our logo, there is a true Gutter history there. I like to believe that I am a true craftsman, who cares about his client. This same sense of pride will be instilled into every Tim Taylor Gutters employee. We aim to bring some class to the gutter industry. I too am a consumer and appreciate when my business is truly valued. Tim Taylor Gutters will always strive for your 100% satisfaction. I pledge to never leave a client left to wonder.
Gutter Life
Why Gutters?
Gutters reduce foundation settling (wood frame or block), as well as reduce bottom plate failure on wood framed homes. Most homes in Florida require dirt or sand fill, in order to build the land up so that homes can be built. Not controlling water flow around these homes, will almost certainly result in future foundation issues.
Gutters help to eliminate water shed from roof. Water shed from roof is the leading cause of extremely expensive repairs to exteriors. Damage to exterior walls, exterior trim work, windowsills, stucco, paint, etc.
Controlling water shed and wicking with professionally installed gutters & downspouts helps to keep the fascia and soffits from sustaining damage, as well as to keep them looking clean.
Protect your home’s paint by reducing mildew growth & splash back on walls. Mildew is caused by overly saturated ground and lack of sunshine.
Too much water around your home, can reduce the ability to establish quality landscaping or grass. Plants & grass love water. However, cannot survive under water.
Mildew on sidewalks and driveways can be as slippery as ice, creating hazards for your family or guests. Reduce or even eliminate mildew on walkways & driveways, by controlling the flow of water shed from your roof.
Keep your newly installed mulch from floating down your driveway.
Eliminate concrete erosion on sidewalks and new driveways.
Protect that newly installed pool deck. Reducing heavy water shed helps to keep costly travertine or pavers in place.
Reducing moisture and standing water around your foundation, leads to less bugs in your home. The number one recommendation from an exterminator, is to install gutters & spouts to help control over saturation of ground or foundation.
Keep the water from hitting your head. Some architecture leads to lots of water flow near entry ways to homes or businesses. Front door, garage entry & even patio entries, can be like running the gauntlet.
Professionally installed gutters & spouts add character to your home. 6” K-Style gutters are designed to give the eave a look of crown molding, all while helping to reduce some of the issues talked about above.

Why New Soffit & Fascia?
Keep the critters out. Improperly installed soffits or old fallen soffits can lead to failures. This can lead to critters in the attic, possibly contaminating existing insulation and even chewing through critical electrical wiring or a/c lines. These repairs can run into the thousands. In the cooler months, every kind of critter from Rats and Squirrels to Raccoons like to take up residence in warm attics.
Have you ever wondered how a rat can get into an attic? Watch this Video:
What about that pesky raccoon?
Aside from having your home turned into a critter condo.
Your old soffits & fascia are not doing what they were intended to do!
Professionally installed soffits are designed to allow your attic to vent properly. A properly vented attic leads to more efficient use of your air conditioning. Average summertime temperature of an attic in Florida, can exceed 130-degrees (10 months a year). When your attic is not ventilating properly, these attic temperatures remain consistent throughout the night. A properly ventilating attic allows that heat to escape into the cooler outside air temps, whether daytime or night.
Keep that new roof from failing prematurely. A good roofing company will stress the importance of properly ventilated eaves. Properly ventilating eaves helps to prolong the life of that new roof. Shingled roofs in Florida are subject to extreme moist conditions. Mostly due to extreme average humidity. Moisture collects between the underside of the shingle and the moisture barrier for the decking. This constant level of moisture is what leads to a 35-year shingle, deteriorating before its time. An attic with proper airflow, helps to dry out your shingles daily. This results in longer shingle life.
Might be time to replace them 30-year-old aluminum soffit panels or small undersized screen vents. They are likely clogged on the attic side of the panel and not venting at all. Old wood soffits are nice but are not likely venting efficiently. When installing new maintenance free vinyl soffits over old wooden soffits, we cut big vent holes in the wood soffits or remove them entirely. We do this so we can achieve maximum ventilation.
New highly vented vinyl soffit panels are the answer to your venting needs. We offer lifetime warranted Mastic Vinyl products. Please follow our Product links to view Mastic Vinyl Soffits.
